All Saints' Church, Brough

All Saints’, Brough is a lively open friendly church.
Sunday Morning Worship (09:30) is informal based on Common Worship with contemporary music and a monthly communion. Teaching and worship is lively and often interactive, centred on the church year and topical themes relating to the gospel message. The service is attended by people of all ages and has attracted a number of young families who have become regular members. The All-Sorts Service is held once a month. It appeals to all ages and stages of the church family.
Story-telling is the main tool used with varied activities such as crafts, drama and meditations adding variety that caters for different learning styles.

Special services are held for Easter, Mothering Sunday, Father’s Day, Harvest and Christmas. A Bethlehem Midnight Service takes place at 10pm on Christmas Eve and marks the time at which it is midnight in Bethlehem rather than midnight in the UK.

Messy Church happens at Easter, Harvest and before Christmas at 4pm and is a chance for all to enjoy and join in a different form of ‘church’.

We are hoping to develop our church site to be a more community friendly building to accommodate our growing, seven days a week ministry.

Junior Church is held on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month for children aged 2-9. This involves lots of challenging and thought provoking questions as well as lighter activities of crafts and silly games. There is a new group now running for those who are 10+, they meet on a Sunday morning and during the week to learn and grow in their faith.

Mid-week Holy Communion (Traditional said Common Worship), every Thursday at 9.45 am is a traditional ‘said’ service followed by coffee and a chat. This has become a much-loved and growing meeting place. Once a month this is followed by the “Knit and Natter” club with members from all the Churches, providing a chance to learn new skills and have fellowship over a light lunch.
“Tiny Footsteps” is a friendly Parent and Toddler Group, held in All Saints’ Brough during the school term and open to parents, or carers, with children aged up to 4 years old. There are around 50 children in attendance each week. The team has the opportunity to teach some Christian songs to the group and tell a bible story each week. There is a ‘free-play’ time and a chance for local mums to meet and chat.
